Traveling the world near and far cooking and presenting out of this world food has been Chef Javier Nassar’s journey and purpose so far. Graduating from Johnson and Wales University at the top of his class, Chef Nassar began his career in the international city of Miami working at the prestigious and well known and historic Biltmore Hotel Wine Club as a culinary instructor. After his first stint in Miami, Chef Nassar moved to Vienna, Austria to join the international company Do&Co., where he traveled and catered luxurious events such as the Formula 1 Grand Prix, and mastering French-Austrian fusion cuisine at the 5 star restaurant “7th Floor.” Chef Nassar then returned to Miami, Florida to work for the city’s most well known restaurant for fine dining working at “The Forge.” Gaining a reputation as being one of Miami’s best chefs, his services were obtained by the city’s most famous stars and celebrities including Gloria Estefan, Jennifer Lopez, Ben Afflec, Alonzo Mourning, and many high profile politicians. Today Chef Nassar has traveled back home to his native island of Puerto Rico and is currently the owner of A La Carte Catering offering consulting and event logistics as well as owning Tras-Patio Bistro - a highly praised restaurant in the Hato Rey banking district in Puerto Rico.
