“The Pastry Chef”
Perhaps one of Puerto Rico’s best pastry chefs resides on the northeastern corner of the island of Puerto Rico - Chef Alberto Febo. Chef Febo was selected as the Best Pastry Chef of the Caribbean in 2009 at the Taste of the Caribbean Competition. Today, Chef Febo works as a pastry consultant where he integrates the culinary arts he has learned in his career and offers his services for other aspiring chefs in the island. Chef Febo is a self taught and determined culinary artist in many respects, and like many of the most famous chefs in Puerto Rico got his start working at the Conquistador Hotel and Resort. One of his other major accomplishments was serving as part of the National Culinary team of Puerto Rico in 2008-2009 as the Pastry Chef.
